<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a liquid crystal display for displaying power consumption reduction quantity without need of a circuit which is adapted to the liquid crystal display and measures power consumption quantity, and its power saving power consumption display method. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display 20 is the liquid crystal display 20 provided with a backlight 11 and having a power saving function, the device includes a micro-processor 1 in which the backlight is controlled in accordance with a backlight adjustment value during power saving function operation, power consumption during power saving function operation is calculated from the backlight adjustment value based on a relational expression of the backlight adjustment value and power consumption of the liquid crystal display, power consumption reduction value indicating a rate of power consumption during power saving function operation for power consumption during power saving function non-operation is calculated, and power consumption reduction quantity is screen-displayed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
