<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-resistant air filter excellent in productivity and satisfying a trapping efficiency of 99.97% (at 0.3 μm) or more. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The heat-resistant filter is characterized in that plural sheet-like seal materials (30a), (30b) consisting of glass wool having an average fiber diameter of 1 μm or less are overlapped in such a manner that a value of mass/surface area becomes 130 g/m<SP>2</SP>or more, and a gap between a filter pack (20) and vertical filter frames (11), (12) is sealed to constitute the heat-resistant air filter.
