<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine which can mitigate players' feeling of unfairness. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The Pachinko game machine has a game board having a start area capable of taking an opened condition/closed condition assisting/hindering the passage of a game ball, a jackpot lottery means for performing a jackpot lottery due to the passage of a game ball through the start area, an ordinary lottery means for drawing lots to decide whether to shift the start area from the closed condition to the opened condition when the game ball passes through a prescribed area of the game board, an ordinary lottery count storage means for storing an ordinary lottery count of the ordinary lottery means, a loss compensation control means for performing operation control of a loss compensation function including a collection function which collects some of prescribed negotiable values for the players to play a game and a compensation function which compensates the players for losses when the results of the jackpot lotteries in a prescribed count satisfy prescribed conditions, and a choosing means by which the players choose to perform or not to perform operation control of loss compensation by the loss compensation control means. The loss compensation control means operates the loss compensation function in accordance with the ordinary lottery count stored in the ordinary lottery count storage means.
