<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of discriminating advanced glycation endproducts (AGE) of a skin by using fluorescence in the skin with a highly accurate technique of quantitatively measuring the skin AGE without a decrease in measurement accuracy due to light absorbing substances such as melanin. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the method, the skin AGE is discriminated by measuring a peak intensity of fluorescence relative to excitation light to correct by using a compensation formula of the peak intensity based on a skin three-layer optical model prepared in advance, by using a regression expression expressing the relation between the AGE and an index b<SP>*</SP>etc. of L<SP>*</SP>a<SP>*</SP>b<SP>*</SP>of a color system.
