PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treating material favorable for a component of rubber products without bringing about defective products and deterioration in work efficiency. SOLUTION: In the treating material, canvas in which many warps 2 disposed in parallel are held by a plurality of wefts 3 is embedded in a rubber sheet 5. A rubber thickness y1 from the warps 2 to the one surface of the rubber sheet and a rubber thickness y2 from the warps 2 to the other surface of the rubber sheet satisfy a prescribed relation with respect to the number of yarns x of the warps 2 (piece/50 mm).
