<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a highly efficient uninterruptible power supply device by reducing the power loss when a semiconductor switch is closed. <P>SOLUTION: The uninterruptible power supply device includes: an input terminal 2 which is connected to an AC power supply 1; an output terminal 5 which is connected to this input terminal 2 via the semiconductor switch 3a and a mechanical switch 3b serially connected to each other, and supplies AC electric power to a load 4; an inverter 7 which is connected between this output switch 5 and both switches, and converts DC electric power from a battery 10 into the AC electric power; a detection part 12 which detects voltage fluctuations and sudden changes in voltage polarity of the AC power supply 1 based on voltage waveforms of the AC power supply 1 on the input terminal 2 side of both switches; and a controller 8 which opens the semiconductor switch 3a to drive the inverter 7 for AC electric power supply to the output switch 5 when the detection part 12 detects a voltage fluctuation in the AC power supply 1, and stops the inverter 7 when the detection part 12 detects the sudden change in the voltage polarity in the AC power supply 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
