<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching power unit which is high in power conversion efficiency even in repeat frequency over 1 MHz and is excellent in electromagnetic compatibility. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An isolated electromagnetic wave concept is applied to the circuit design of the switching power unit. The wiring of the switching circuit part of the switching power unit is made an electric transmission path and matching termination is given. The design of the electric transmission path and a matching termination circuit can be made with single frequency that is obtained as the inverse of a value of having multiplied the rise time and the fall time of a switching transistor by the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter in place of the isolated electromagnetic waves. Low impedance loss paths are connected and used between an input capacitor and a power converting circuit part and between the power converting circuit part and an output capacitor. The low impedance loss path comprises an anode conductor, a cathode conductor, and a single or composite insulating film which has a loss, and it has a characteristic impedance value that is sufficiently lower than the characteristic impedance of the transmission path.
