PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automated warehouse having a device capable of surely disabling automatic control of a stacker crane during the maintenance and inspection. SOLUTION: The automated warehouse 1 comprises a frame shelf having a plurality of storing parts for storing loads, a stacker crane 3 moving for the frame shelf to transport the loads to the storing parts, and a control device for automatically controlling the stacker crane 3 and the stacker crane 3 is provided with a ladder 5 for inspection and maintenance. An ascent/descent detector 7 for detecting the ascent/descent of an operator on/from the ladder 5 is provided on the ladder 5. The control device disables the automatic control of the stacker crane 3 when the control device determines that the operator ascends on the ladder 5 based on the detection signal from the ascent/descent detector 7.
