<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a sufficiently dried vinylpyrrolidone-based polymer powder. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for producing a vinylpyrrolidone-based polymer powder comprises the steps of: drying a vinylpyrrolidone-based polymer solution with a heating surface adhesion-type dryer to obtain a dried vinylpyrrolidone-based polymer; coarsely crushing the dried vinylpyrrolidone-based polymer under a temperature of 40 to 100°C and transporting the crushed polymer to a grinder under the same temperature; and grinding the crushed dried vinylpyrrolidone-based polymer.
