<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passenger conveyer capable of eliminating conveyance of parts of a lifting device by storing the parts of the lifting device in a manhole cover in a machine room of the passenger conveyer. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A box 26 for storing parts of a lifting device is installed on a rear face of a manhole cover 18. A mold 27 corresponding to a shape of the parts of the lifting device is mounted in the box 26 to house the parts of the lifting device and hold a storing condition. A cover 28 is mounted to the box 26 so that the housed parts of the lifting device are not detached, and hinges 29 are mounted so that one end of the cover 28 can rotate. One of the hinges 29 is mounted to the cover 28, and the other is mounted to the box 26.
