<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a ladder fixing device for an elevator pit capable of leaning various ladders, not a specific ladder, against a space between a pit bottom surface and the lowest floor landing, corresponding to various pit depth cases, and enabling a worker to release locking of a sill groove and a locking member and lock those again after the pit bottom surface is lowered, even if the worker is alone. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The ladder fixing device for the elevator pit attached to a ladder leaned between the lowest floor landing and a pit of the elevator to be used, comprises a fixing device body, a body fixing means fixing the fixing device body at any position of a vertical frame of the ladder by surrounding at least three sides of an outer periphery of the vertical frame, and a fixing shackle rotatably provided on the fixing device body and having a shackle locking portion locked to the sill groove of the lowest floor landing.
