PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to efficiently acquire desired information by preventing the information from being missed when a plurality of images are displayed simultaneously.

SOLUTION: The image signal generating apparatus is provided with: a sight-line detecting unit 16 which detects a sight line of a user looking at images of a plurality of contents displayed on a display unit 4; a peripheral image determination unit which determines an image located in a user's peripheral viewing field among the plurality of images based on the detected sight line; and an image processing unit 14 which adds an object representing an attribute of a content of the peripheral image to an image signal for displaying the images. The object to be added to the image signal is colored correspondingly to the attribute of the content, and the user can easily recognize the attribute of the content.
