<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spline connection structure having a shaft spline and a bore spline each composed of an involute spline, capable of reducing stress concentration. <P>SOLUTION: The shaft spline 2 of a shaft 1 and the bore spline 5 of a hub 4 each composed of the involute spline are engaged with each other. The hub 4 includes cylindrical holes 6, 7 and a thin wall portion 4a facing the lower ends of the cylindrical holes 6, 7. The thin wall portion 4a is pressed by clamping screws 9, 10 inserted in the cylindrical holes 6, 7 so that the teeth of the bore spline 5 located in the vicinity of the thin wall portion 4a are restrained, thereby restricting the movement of the hub 4 relative to the shaft 1. Two of the teeth of the bore spline 5 located in the vicinity of the thin wall portion 4a facing the lower ends of the cylindrical holes 6, 7 of the hub 4 are provided with cutout portions 11 which are formed by cutting off part of the teeth and located in the vicinity of an end face 4c of the hub 4 on the side opposite to an end face 4b of the hub 4 located on the side of an end 1a of the shaft 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
