<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device in which a driving part is operated by sensing abnormality of a reset signal and by generating again a normal reset signal, and a method of driving the same. <P>SOLUTION: This invention provides a display device and a method of driving the same. This invention includes a scan driver for transmitting a plurality of selection signal to a plurality of scan lines, a data driver for transmitting a plurality of data signal to a plurality of data lines, and a signal controller for controlling operation of the scan driver and the data driver. The scan driver and the data driver are started in accordance with a reset signal. The signal controller senses the rest signal and determines whether the reset signal is normal or abnormal by a on-point-of-time at which a power source is applied to the scan driver and the data driver, when the reset signal is not normal, the reset signal is restored.
