<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device of multi-stage development system, which prevents developer from being firmly fixed to the lengthwise end of a second developer carrier, and also to provide a process cartridge and image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A developer regulating member 23c has narrow sections 23c1 at its lengthwise ends, each section 23c1 being narrower in a gap N2 between a first developer carrier 23a1 and the member 23c itself than the lengthwise middle section. The lengthwise range of each narrow section 23c1 of the developer regulating member 23c is formed so as to include a range W2 in which the magnetic force of the receiving magnetic pole H22 of a second developer carrier 23a2 stabilizes from the lengthwise end to the lengthwise center. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
