<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a speed of a TCP/IP communication. <P>SOLUTION: A transmission and reception unit 23 receives an ACK packet which serves as an acknowledgement of a reception of the transmission data and which is transmitted from the reception apparatus 12, an ACK storing unit 24 stores an ACK packet which is last received among the received ACK packets, and when receiving an ACK packet that is not consecutive to the stored packet, when the number of the stored ACK packets reaches the maximum number of ACK packets to be stored or when coupling standby time of the ACK packet set by an ACK holding timer exceeds a predetermined period of time, supplies the stored ACK packet to a TCP/IP processor 22. The TCP/IP processor 22 performs reception processing of the ACK packet using the ACK packet supplied from the ACK storing unit 24.
