PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair cosmetic for providing the hair with a volume feeling of head top part and gloss. SOLUTION: The hair cosmetic comprises (A) an acrylic polymer and (B) a nonionic polymer in the mass ratio of the component (A)/(B) of 0.1-10.0. (A) The acrylic polymer comprises 70-95 mol% of a monomer unit represented by general formula (1) and 5-30 mol% of a monomer unit represented by general formula (2) (wherein R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>3</SP>are each a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; R<SP>2</SP>is a hydrogen atom or a -CH<SB>2</SB>OH group; A is -O- or -NH-; and M is a hydrogen atom, an alkali metal atom, an ammonium or an amine).
