<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new and improved printer which can perform a printing so that an ink-jet head may not interfere with a chucking part when performing a multi-pass printing on the non-recording surface of a rotatably-driven recording medium. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The printer includes a printing section for printing visible information onto the non-recording surface of the rotatably-driven recording medium by discharging an ink droplet, and a control section for controlling the discharge timing of the ink droplet discharged from the printing section while controlling the printing section movement to the radial direction of the recording medium. The printing section performs the printing of the visible information by performing the multi-pass printing which completes the printing to the same radius position of the non-recording surface by discharging of inks discharged from different ink-discharging nozzles. The control section performs the controlling of the printing section so that the printing may be performed with a printing pattern different from the printing pattern for other positions of the non-recording surface when performing the printing to the most interior area of the non-recording surface.
