<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a worm reduction gear capable of effectively attenuating the vibration of a worm generated due to backlash without deteriorating fluctuation torque and operation torque at a meshing part of a worm wheel and a worm and an electric power steering device provided with the same. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The worm reduction gear 9 is provided with the worm rotatably supported in a gear housing and the worm wheel meshing with the worm, and reducing the rotation of the worm by the worm wheel. Piezoelectric elements 20, 22 are put between the gear housing and a bearing rotatably supporting the worm at both ends on at least one side of which the dimension in a radial direction of the worm changes.
