PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold clamping device, which can properly prevent the abnormality due to the temperature rise of the coil of a linear motor from developing. SOLUTION: In the mold clamping device, which performs the opening and closing actions of a mold by a three-phase alternating type linear motor, a temperature monitoring means for monitoring the temperature of a coil concerning a phase mostly contributing to the acceleration in mold feeding among the respective coils of the three phases of the linear motor is provided to solve the problem.
