PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator of a rotating electrical machine which can prevent an increase in the size of a coil portion while maintaining the insulating performance of the coil portion against surge current. SOLUTION: The number of turns of first coils U1 and U1' of the coil portion 13u connected to a power supply input terminal is determined to be the half of that of ordinary coils.
