<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of being difficult to discriminate an accurate oil level, when a plurality of temperature sensors indicate the same temperature, in a device for detecting the oil level by measuring the oil temperature inside of a conventional compressor, in a compressor for an air-conditioning and heat pump hot water supply system of using carbon dioxide as a refrigerant. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When discriminating a position of the oil level in a casing 10 by the detecting temperature of a first temperature sensor 20a and a second temperature sensor 20b, since the second temperature sensor 20b always detects the temperature of lubricating oil by arranging the second temperature sensor 20b on a casing bottom surface, when the first temperature sensor 20a exists in the lubricating oil, the detecting temperature of the first temperature sensor 20a becomes higher than the detecting temperature of the second temperature sensor 20b, and that the oil level exists under the first temperature sensor 20a, can be understood.
