PURPOSE: A board overlapping prevention apparatus of a hot rolling hot coil examination roll and a method thereof are provided to prevent the degradation of hot coil product by defection of an external coil for increasing the fraction force. CONSTITUTION: A board overlapping prevention apparatus of a hot rolling hot coil examination roll and a method thereof include a hot coil(1), an examination roll, a driving unit construction body, a coldness control construction body and a driving control unit. The hot coil is settled in the examination roll through the installation from the hoisting device. The examination roll comprises the motion stage it is classified into a roll(20) and backward roll. The coldness control construction body is change with a pressure switch and a flow switch.
