<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high rigidity, high-strength and low cost composite segment which enables a tensile force acting on a joint material of a segment joint to be transferred to both circumferential reinforcements, embedded in a steel shell and filling concrete in well balance, with high rigidity and high strength. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The composite segment is provided with a steel shell segment composed of a plurality of main girders 2, a pair of joint plates 3, a skin plate 4 and vertical ribs 6, is integrated by the circumferential reinforcements 11 and the filling concrete 9 for embedding the circumferential reinforcements and is not provided with a bolt box. A joint material is arranged in close vicinity of the main girder; a reinforcing material is arranged in close vicinity of the joint material in parallel with the main girder across the joint material, and installed from the joint plate 3 at least to the vertical rib 6a adjacent to the joint plate 3; the joint plate 3 of the reinforcing material 8 and a portion abutting on the vertical rib 6 adjacent to the joint plate 3 are fixed to the joint plate 3 and the vertical rib 6a adjacent to the joint plate 3; and the circumferential reinforcements 11 are provided up to positions to the joint plate 3 with respect to the vertical rib 6a adjacent to the joint plate 3.
