<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a total enthalpy heat exchange ventilation device for automatically switching a heat exchange ventilating operation and a normal ventilating operation without measuring or detecting the outside air temperature. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this total enthalpy heat exchange ventilation device 70 in which a total enthalpy heat exchanging element 15 is disposed on the way of an outside-air air trunk OF, an air trunk switching section 40 is disposed on the way of an indoor-air air trunk IF, and a motion of the air trunk switching section is controlled by an operation-control section 50 on the basis of the outside air temperature and a temperature of the indoor air, a first indoor-side temperature sensor 43 is disposed near a supply opening 20b of the outside-air air trunk, a second indoor-side temperature sensor 45 is disposed near a suction opening 25a of the indoor-air air trunk, the operation-control section calculates the outside air temperature on the basis of results of the detections of the first and second indoor-side temperature sensors and heat exchange efficiency in the total enthalpy heat exchanging element, and the operation-control section controls the motion of the air trunk switching section on the basis of a result of the calculation, a result of the detection of the first indoor-side temperature sensor, and a result of the detection of the second indoor-side temperature sensor.
