PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new coating composition capable of imparting excellent chemical resistance, weatherability and water repellency and further fouling removing property for fingerprint, sebum and the like when coated, and to provide a fouling preventing method using the coating composition. SOLUTION: The coating composition comprises: (I) a graft copolymer obtained by copolymerization of a monomer (A) having a radically polymerizable double bond at the terminal end of a polymer of a≥10C aliphatic or alicyclic alkyl group and a monomer (B) having a curable functional group as essential ingredients, and, optionally, a monomer other than (A) and (B); and (II) a curing agent.
