The device (1) has pneumatically, hydraulically or electrically movable positioning units (7) arranged in x-direction, y-direction and z-direction and connected with a body of a vehicle in form-fit and force-fit manner. Fitting rollers (5) support the device on sill boards of the body. A guide rail (6) guides the device along a B-column of the body of the vehicle. An adjustment unit has flanges (B1, B2) synchronously adjustable in the y-direction by a gear (G1). The x, y and z directions correspond to directions of longitudinal, transverse and vertical axes of the body, respectively. An independent claim is also included for a method for mounting a cockpit module in a body of a vehicle.
