摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium showing excellent record reproducibility and light resistance in information recording by a short wavelength laser rays irradiation, and excellent shelf stability in a solution, as well as a new chemical compound which is best-suited as a coloring matter for recording layer of the optical information recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: This optical information recording medium has a recording layer formed on the surface of a substrate having a pregroove with a track pitch of 50 to 500 nm on the surface. The recording layer contains an azo metal complex coloring matter which is a complex of an azo coloring matter and a metallic ion which is represented by formula (1). In this formula (1), Q<SP>1</SP>is an atomic group which forms a nitrogen-containing heterocycle together with a carbon atom and a nitrogen atom which are adjacent to each other, G<SP>1</SP>is a heterocycle and a carbon ring and E<SP>1</SP>is an electron-withdrawing group. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
