摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that communication between a portable terminal such as a handy terminal utilizing infrared communication and a peripheral equipment becomes unstable unless appropriate positioning of infrared modules of the portable terminal body and the peripheral equipment is performed considering directivity of infrared ray. <P>SOLUTION: An electromagnet is provided on an infrared unit of the portable terminal body, and the infrared unit is configured to be rotatable. Thus, a magnetic force with the magnets provided inside peripheral equipment such as an infrared transmitter and/or an infrared communication adaptor device allows the infrared units in the portable terminal and the peripheral equipment to face each other when communicating for the directivity of infrared ray to be adjusted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
