<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide pulverized turmeric improved in palate feeling of turmeric and remaining feeling when taken in, reduced in bitterness, and improved in taste, and to provide food and drink containing the pulverized turmeric and easy to take in. <P>SOLUTION: The pulverized turmeric contains less than 0.5 wt.% of fine particles each having a particle diameter of more than 180 μm, less than 1.5 wt.% of fine particles each having a particle diameter of >106 μm and ≤180 μm, and less than 4.7 wt.% of fine particles each having a particle diameter of >75 μm and ≤106 μm. The food and drink is obtained by addition of the pulverized turmeric.
