<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite gear manufacturing method and a composite gear manufactured by the same method capable of accurately adjusting the phase of a metal gear with a resin gear. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the composite gear manufacturing method, the metal gear 31 and the resin gear 32 are axially stacked. The metal gear is set on the lower die 40, then at least a pair of slide plates 41, 42 are set so as to cover the upper part of the tooth part of the metal gear from radially outward of the metal gear.
