<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening trim for an automobile capable of firmly being assembled even in a corner part of a vehicle body opening edge. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The opening trim for the automobile comprises a mounting base part having substantial U shape cross section having a vehicle interior sidewall part 12, a vehicle exterior sidewall side part and a depth wall part for continuously arranging the vehicle interior sidewall part and the vehicle exterior sidewall. A lip part 11 for holding a flange formed along a vehicle body opening edge of an automobile is provided on the inside of the sidewall part, and one or more incisions 15 are provided on a holding lip 11 in the direction from the root or the distal end to the crossing to the longitudinal direction.
