<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing machine which is provided with a cooling device which radiates heat effectively by sucking and exhausting air in a wide range within a sewing machine frame. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The sewing machine 1 includes a hollow sewing machine frame 5 wherein formed are a bed part 2, an arm part 3 extending over the bed part 2 and in parallel to the bed part 2, and a leg support part 4 which connects the bed part 2 with the arm part 3. Within the sewing machine frame 5, the sewing machine 1 includes a sewing machine main shaft 9 extending in parallel to the longitudinal direction of the arm part 3, and a sewing machine motor 10 for rotate-driving the sewing machine main shaft 9. The sewing machine 1 is provided with the cooling device which sucks and exhausts the air inside and outside the sewing machine frame 5 by a horizontal flow fan 18 which is mounted to the sewing machine shaft 9 and is elongated in the direction of the sewing machine main shaft 9.
