PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a heat sink which easily manufactures even a heat sink with a complicatedly shape and the heat sink manufactured by the manufacturing method, which is excellent in mechanical strength and heat release property. SOLUTION: This method for manufacturing a heat sink includes: a raw material preparation process for preparing prepolymer 2 whose end is terminated by an isocyanate base and a slurry 3 configured by suspending metallic powder in a water system distribution liquid; an intermediate manufacturing process for obtaining an intermediate 4 molded in the shape of a heat sink by mixing prepolymer 2 with the slurry 3 in a cabinet 61 of a molding type 6, and then forming, bridging, and separating it; a degreasing process for degreasing the intermediate 4 to obtain a degreased body; and a sintering process for obtaining a heat sink composed of foaming metallic materials containing continuous air bubbles produced mutually connecting a plurality of air bubbles by sintering the degreased body.
