PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device provided with a fixing means, which reduces a rise time and saves energy. SOLUTION: This image forming device is provided with: an exposure means 3 for forming a latent image on an image carrier 1; a developing means 4 for visualizing the latent image formed on the image carrier by toner; a transfer means 5 for transferring a toner image visualized on the image carrier to a recording material S; paper sheet conveying means 8a, 6 for conveying the recording material S mounted on a paper sheet supply part 8 to the transfer means in synchronization with the toner image developed by the developing means; and a fixing means for fixing the toner image transferred to the recording material by the transfer means. The fixing means is provided with: a first fixing means 11 arranged in a recording material conveying path 9 after transferring the toner image, and for softening the toner image transferred onto the recording material; and a second fixing means 12 arranged downstream of the first fixing means in a recording material conveying-direction , and for smoothing and fixing the toner softened by the first fixing means.
