<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion furnace for detecting chlorine compounds included in input fuel on a real time basis. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The combustion furnace includes a furnace 3 burning the input fuel in an interior, a rod like member 23 placed in the interior of the furnace 3, and a window 29, a camera 31, and an image processing part 33 for shooting and analyzing an image of the rod like member 23.
