摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel pressure control device of an internal combustion engine capable of improving an exhaust gas characteristic and operability, by reducing a leak quantity of fuel from a fuel injection valve in partial cylinder operation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A value Pf_stp for the partial cylinder operation is calculated in response to an engine speed NE and accelerator opening AP. In Pf_stp≤Pf_L or Pf_H≤Pf_stp, first and second target fuel pressures Pf_cmd1 and Pf_cmd2 are set in the value Pf_stp (S4-6). In Pf_L<Pf_stp<Pf_H, the value Pf_cmd1 is set to the value Pf_stp, and the value Pf_cmd2 is set to the value Pf_L or Pf_H (S5, S9 and S10). A first high pressure fuel pump 30 is controlled by making a feedback process so that first fuel pressure Pf1 is converged in the value Pf_cmd1, and a second high pressure fuel pump 40 is controlled by making a feedback process (S7) so that second fuel pressure Pf2 is converged in the value Pf_cmd2.
