The present invention relates to essentially transparent fire-resistant glazing comprising glass sheets and one or more layers of an intumescent hydrated alkali metal silicate composition between these glass sheets, the thicknesses of these various components and the composition of the intumescent layer or layers obtained without drying being such that the thickness e of the glazing, expressed in millimetres, i.e. glass sheets and intumescent layer(s), and the fire resistance class EI, expressed in minutes, satisfy the relationship 3 = EI/e. |
