MOTIVE POWER OUTPUT DEVICE, VEHICLE EQUIPPED WITH THE SAME, AND CONTROL METHOD FOR MOTIVE POWER OUTPUT DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more properly drive electric motors or a power generator not only in consideration of input and output restriction of a storage battery such as a secondary battery but also in consideration of a change amount of torque output from the electronic motors.

SOLUTION: A torque command Tm1* for a motor MG1 is set by setting maximum torque restriction Tm1min, Tm1max in a range satisfying a condition where the sum of the torque output from the motors MG1, MG2 to a driving shaft is within a range from a value 0 to required torque Tr*, a condition where the sum of electric power input/output from the motors MG1, MG2 is within a range of the input and output restriction Win, Wout of the battery, and a condition where the torque of the motor MG2 is within a range from a permissible maximum change amount ΔT which is a negative value to the sum of the permissible maximum change amount ΔT and a previous torque command Tm2*. A torque command Tm2* for the motor MG2 is set so that the required torque Tr* is output to the driving shaft within a range of the input and output restriction Win, Wout of the battery (S160-S210).
