<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commodity search server, a search system within an area, a commodity search program, a commodity search method, and a search method within an area capable of efficiently discriminating the existence of a management object in a specific area, using an automatic travel device. <P>SOLUTION: When a user 108 instructs a search for a key (the management object 109), by operating a cell-phone 111, the automatic travel device 107 receiving a home sketch drawing and a search route within a home 103 from a home server 105 attempts to communicate with an IC tag 112 along the route.
