PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless meter reading system favorably reading a meter by providing a master unit with a position information detection means and a storage means and storing results of actual communication with a slave unit in association with position information of the master unit, thereby reliably providing each slave unit with a position for meter reading. SOLUTION: The wireless meter reading system comprises a meter, the slave unit connected to the meter, and the master unit 1 communicable with the slave unit. The master unit comprises the position information detection means 8 for detecting the position thereof, the storage means 9, and a display means 7. When a meter reading staff carries the master unit to request meter reading data to the slave unit, the master unit stores the result of communication with the slave unit in association with the position information in the storage means. The distance to the slave unit can be calculated and displayed, and the communication result can be mapped to a map or the like to provide efficient meter reading. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
