<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device having a simple device structure and capable of obtaining an image with small noise. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The imaging device includes a magnification optical system and an imaging element. The magnification optical system includes a plurality of lens groups and a reflective element. The reflective element is disposed closer to an image side than the plurality of lens groups. The imaging element includes effective pixels, wherein the number of the effective pixels is more than that of recording pixels. Magnification is performed by moving at least one lens group from among the plurality of lens groups and the reflective element in the state in which the imaging element is fixed.
