<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire which has an improved wear resistance while not lowering its friction performance on iced and/or snowed roads and retaining its excellent on-ice performance. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The rubber composition contains 5-120 pts.mass of silica and 5-80 pts.mass of a styrene-isoprene copolymer with a number-average molecular weight of ≤50,000 to 100 pts.mass of a rubber component containing at least one rubber selected from the group consisting of natural rubber, isoprene rubber, and butadiene rubber.
