PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control an inductance value without significantly increasing loss by a switching element in a variable inductor. SOLUTION: The variable inductor includes: an inductor conductor 4; ground conductor layers 2 having an opening 3 and a slit 6 in a region including a region where the inductor conductor 4 is arranged; and the switching element 7 which electrically selects presence/absence of electric connection between the ground conductor layers 2 on both sides of the slit 6. The switching element 7 is arranged at a position where feedback route length of ground current flowing in the ground conductor layers 2 is varied to vary an equivalent inductance value.
