<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To show an effective installation manner, a roof shape, and electric-generating capacity when introducing a photovoltaic power generation system into a house to a customer in an easy-to-understand manner to win the understanding of the customer. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The explanation apparatus 1 for an photovoltaic power generation system includes a display screen 4 displaying the explanation of the photovoltaic power generation system, and a housing model 3 formed in a reduced size. The housing model 3 is composed of a roof model 31 imitating the roof part of a house and a model body 32 imitating the part other than the roof, both of which are so formed as to be separable from and connected to each other and assembled. A plurality of roof models 31 having different roof shapes are prepared for on model body 32. By selecting one of the roof models 31 and connecting it to the model body 32, the electric-generating capacity when the roof shape is that of the roof model 31 is displayed on the display screen 4.
