The filter (1) has a filter carrier (2) including cells (3) arranged in a honeycomb or foam form and accommodating an exhaust gas cleaning catalytic converter (4) that has a mixture of zeolite and alkali metal element source and/or an alkaline earth metal element source or a sodalite that is burned at a temperature of not less than 600 degree Celsius. The cells are separated by partition walls (25), and carrier layers are formed on the walls. The filter is mounted at an exhaust gas channel. The sources are carbonate, sulfate, phosphate, nitrate, organic acid, halide, oxide or hydroxide.
