<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side airbag device with an airbag partitioned into a pair of chambers with a partition part, for securing an inner pressure difference between the chambers. <P>SOLUTION: A to-be-inflated part 26 of the airbag 20 is partitioned into the pair of chambers 28, 29 with a seam 27. The airbag 20 is fixed to a seat frame together with an inflator 41 with bolts 45, 46. In the side airbag device in this construction, inflating gas G is supplied from an inflator storage part 24 to the chambers 28, 29 and both chambers 28, 29 are inflated and deployed at different inner pressure between a body side part and an occupant. Besides, the inflator 41 and the airbag 20 are fixed to the seat frame with the bolts 45, 46 in such a state that the inflator storage part 24 is turned around a boundary between the to-be inflated part 26 and itself, whereby at least a rear end 27R of the seam 27 is held between the inflator 41 and the seat frame. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
