<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce collision sound when printed paper butts a secondary paper feeding roller, and to fix the amount of slacking formed in the secondary paper feeding roller at all times, in an image forming device temporary stopping a distal end of the paper carried by a primary paper feeding roller by the secondary paper feeding roller, and carrying the paper toward an image forming portion at predetermined timing. <P>SOLUTION: The carrying speed of the primary paper feeding roller 42 is switched from first carrying speed V1 to second carrying speed V2 slower than the first carrying speed.
