PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly perform approval and authentication of a user, in a system wherein a user uses an image forming apparatus from a terminal device via a computer network. SOLUTION: In the image forming system, a login manager 41 permits login when user identification information received from the terminal device 2 by a network processing part 22 is valid user identification information, and transmits a token for the user having performed the login to the terminal device 2. An authentication-approval manager 42 decides whether the token is a valid token when a service request associated with the token is received by the network processing part 22. A service provision processing part 25 executes processing designated by the service request when it is decided by the authentication-approval manager 42 that the toke is the valid token.
