<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for securing continuous memory regions being sized necessarily for creating a PDF(R) file, in a multi function peripheral including a print function. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A multi function peripheral 100 having a printing function includes: a memory 103 including a dedicated region assigned beforehand to the print function; an I/O control ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) 109 for restricting the print function when instructions for creating a PDF(R) file are accepted; and a memory control ASIC 102 for securing all the dedicated region in the memory, wherein the secured dedicated region is used to create the PDF(R) file.
